15h Materials Handling Solutions Provider Acknowledged as One of Premier Companies in Global Robotics Industry

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (May 6, 2014) - Wynright Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daifuku Webb and a leading U.S.-based provider of intelligent material handling systems, today announced its inclusion on the RBR50 list, Robotic Business Review’s compilation of the most notable companies in the global robotics industry .

Unveiling its third annual list, RBR selected the final 50 companies from a pool of thousands nominated by the Robotics Business Review audience.

RBR50 companies are recognized for their innovation, groundbreaking applications, commercial success and/or commercial potential, with a goal of representing many different levels and facets of the robotics ecosystem.

“This latest award acknowledges our strategic approach to addressing and solving the material handling systems challenges of the 21st Century,” said Kevin Ambrose, President and CEO of Wynright Corporation. “From our patent-pending Robotic Truck Unloader to our warehouse software suite, Wynsoft, Wynright’s material handling solutions are built for easy integration with a client’s business processes and applications for competitive advantage.”

The RBR50 list includes large multi-nationals as well as diminutive startups from 13 countries around the world. The RBR50 is indicative of those industries where Robotics Business Review has recognized significant growth during the past year, which points to tectonic shifts in the kinds of robots and robotics technology being developed for those markets.

“Administering the RBR50 re-election for three years now, we’ve had a chance to observe distinct trends taking place by watching which companies and technologies the global community votes as the most important to the success of robotics,” said Tom Green, editor in chief, Robotics Business Review. “It’s like the industry taking its own barometer reading: discarding those it perceives as fading and elevating those that it believes are in the vanguard.”

Wynright offers a wide variety of material handling solutions, such as conveyors and sortation equipment under the Automotion® brand name, warehouse software and control systems, robotics, structural solutions (including mezzanines), light and voice directed technologies, and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS).
