In the beginning, your PM authors a detailed project schedule with major and minor milestones as a guidepost to the project. He then remains alongside the engineers in the design phase insuring all of the design elements are kept in focus. After the orders are in the shop, the PM keeps in communication with the shop manager to make certain that lead times are held. While fabrication continues, installation schedules, cut-ins, and other customer requirements are further refined.
Your project manager becomes your greatest resource during the installation phase of your project.
