Drive-In
and Drive-Thru Rack provide the maximum storage density of product but is limited
to a single SKU for all storage levels in each bay location. These storage types
are most commonly utilized when large quantities or lots of a single product are
stored and shipped in bulk. Drive-In racking is typically utilized in a LIFO (last-in-first-out)
configuration while Drive-Thru rack may be utilized in either a LIFO or FIFO (first-in-first-out)
system as access may be gained from both ends of the system.
